My friends who have children talk about how they are always doing laundry, but I have to say that owning a restaurant, I feel like I’m the one who’s always doing laundry. The laundry machine is constantly running. Yes, my sainted mother helps out by doing several loads a week at her place. But she’s out of town until Tuesday and so it’s back to how it used to be before she moved to the Creek: take the laundry up to my apartment after barVino closes, wash the basket of dirty napkins and hand towels, dry in small batches (makes the napkins come out with nary a wrinkle), separate into color coordinated piles while watching something on t.v. and then fold neatly. Repeat each night until I die can afford to pay someone to do it for me.

About annabowers

  1. But that is one of the best things about barVino – a stop in the ladies room! It is such a warm and inviting place. I almost want to drink my wine in there! The small detail of real hand towels is awesome!!!

Hey did I see a picture of oysters? Do you have them on your fall menu? If I ever finish schlepping to golf tournaments, I need to stop by to check out what is new over there!

    • Oysters are on the menu . . . not sure for how long, but (in my totally unbiased) opinion, they are amazing. Hope to see you soon!
