LEAST FAVORITE COLOR: PINK

pink ugh

Some girls love it.

I hate it.

Pink.

An entire clothing store with its name.

The singer with that horrible name?  Love her.  She is edgy, and more about black leather than… than… PINK!

Anna, co-blogger – where do you stand on pink?

When it comes to wine, I find pink surprisingly appealing at this time of the year.  This year’s favorite to date: La Linda Malbec Rosé.  For a rosé, the wine is balanced and crisp, and would be served well with appetizers off the grill, or creamy cheeses.  In contrast, last week I tasted the Hecht & Bannier 2012 Languedoc Rosé.  What a different rosé!  The H&B is a wine I would serve during a daytime summer party.  It was light and almost evoked bubbly.  It was non-threatening – a wine I could sip during the day, and not worry overly about heavy alcohol content.

One of the nice things about pink wine is that most men will shy away from it, solely based on its color.  Ya don’t have to share.  Not the worst thing in the world!

Get your summer party on, and get some pink wine chilling!

  1. I ran a program at barVino for awhile on Sundays called “Real Men Drink Pink” in an attempt to get our male guests to purchase our lovely assortment of rosés (not one of which is sweet). It was somewhat-to-mildly successful. I’m loving the Marc Roman Rosé (100% Syrah) and the Pascal Joliver Sancerre Rosé (100% Pinot Noir) right now.
