A FEW GOOD CHANGES

I said I would start posting again in September. Now it’s October.

I’ve gotten off-track on a lot of things since June. Reading. Exercising. Eating well. Writing. The summer flew by and even with barVino now being closed Sunday and Monday, there still didn’t seem to be enough time to do everything. So . . .  the kitchen cabinets aren’t repainted, the roof is still leaking, the deep-clean never happened.

But . . . it’s okay. Well, not the leaking roof. That has to be fixed ASAP. But I do have time for family. For a few lazy hours on Sunday morning before Joe heads off to Newcomb for 36 hours. For walks through the woods.  For perfecting new dessert recipes for barVino (hello coconut cream pie with dark chocolate wafer crust).

Still, it’s time for a change. So I’m going to sit down with a pen and paper and write an old-fashioned to-do list. Make a few manageable goals for myself and stick to a couple of reasonable resolutions.

Outside, it’s grey and rainy (but still beautiful as the colors of the autumn leaves just pop on the flat sky). The perfect day for laziness (I did drink coffee in bed while reading for an hour), but today’s the day for a few good changes. And getting back to Sauced in New York is one of them, so I can check at least one thing off my to-do list today.

Oh, fun fact: I wrote this blog about procrastination yesterday, but just posted it today. Sigh.

  1. Ha! I was wondering if the weather was still awful up north. It’s a beautiful day here today!
So glad we are back at it!
