Pepe Le Pew – the dude that makes me like the French.

Yeah, I had some tough intercultural episodes in France in college.  Got a bit of a grudge still hanging on.  Just being honest, you know.  The French considered the Malbec grape a blending grape, not worthy of its own bottle.  Short sighted.  Stodgy.  I prefer the young upstarts:  Argentina, Spain, Greece, Chile…

Really – have you heard that the French are fighting so that we américains cannot sell wine labeled CLOS or CHATEAU in the European Union?  And this, after we saved them from phylloxera in the 1800s!

That is like Apple saying it has the patent on rectangular phones with beveled edges, right?  How can you own a shape, or a word?
